Fozzy All That Remains

And so, pro-wrestler Chris Jericho kicks it up a couple of notches for his metal alter-ego, Fozzy. And, Jericho and band members do this by bringing in some heavyweights to expand upon studio production, and to lose that eighties sound that permeated their last album. Some of the mentionables are the shred-happy Zakk Wylde, Mark Tremonti and Myles Kennedy of Alterbridge, the infamous Marty Friedman, and much to my chagrin Bonecrusher for the cut,"It's A Lie." Which, comparatively, gives a more harder-edge sounding version of the recent Linkin Park/Jay-Z joint. Wyde's signature screams imbue the track "Wanderlust." But, are recorded in a manor that Zakk hasn't explored before. All the music and harmonies on All That Remains are composed by guitarist/vocalist/programmer Rich Ward, and there has been a different approach taken on this works by bassist Sean Delson, and that is blazing. Fozzy's latest works comes as a complete surprise, and that in due part to the complete re-tooling of the L.A. bands sound.

That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
