Nick Oliveri Reunited With Queens of the Stone Age at Halloween Show

It was reported earlier this year that Nick Oliveri would reunite with Queens of the Stone Age during the band's Halloween show in Los Angeles. That was last night, and yes, it definitely happened, Consequence of Sound reports. Check out footage below.

During the encore, Oliveri walked out while the band played “You Think I Ain’t Worth a Dollar, but I Feel Like a Millionaire”. Then, they did several songs that reportedly haven't been performed at a Queens of the Stone Age show in over a decade, including â€œQuick and to the Pointless”, “Autopilot”, “Another Love Song”, and “Gonna Leave You”.

The show also featured an opening set from the Kills, a costume contest (note Oliveri's horns and Homme's priest costume), and a haunted house. Also below, watch QOTSA perform "Keep Your Eyes Peeled" with Scissor Sisters' Jake Shears.

Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
