Wilco Perform "Cars Can't Escape", Jeff Tweedy Plays Charades on "The Tonight Show"

Jeff Tweedy has been busy supporting his Tweedy album Sukierae, but tonight, he performed with that other band he's in. Wilco were the musical guests on "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon" where they performed "A Magazine Called Sunset" from their 2003 More Like the Moon EP (which appears on their new rarities set Alpha Mike Foxtrot). They also did their 2002 track "Cars Can't Escape" as a web exclusive.

Their "Magazine Called Sunset" performance hasn't surfaced online quite yet, but you do get to watch Tweedy team with Ewan McGregor in a game of charades against Jimmy Fallon and Charles Barkley.

This all happened on an episode where Herbie Hancock sat in with the Roots. Good television!

But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
