Run the Jewels (Killer Mike and El-P) Share New Album RTJ2 Early as Free Download

Last night, while the rest of us were freaking out about Ebola, El-P did something quite generous. His new album with Killer Mike as Run the JewelsRTJ2isn't due out until October 27 via Mass Appeal, but that didn't stop the rapper from sharing the album with fans in its entirety - and all for free.

Early this morning, El-P tweeted a link to download the album:

They also sent out the link to fans via email, along with a message:

We just couldn't wait another damn day longer to share RTJ2 with you. Thank you to all the jewel runners worldwide for all your support. It means everything to us. Please enjoy the music. It was made for you.

The surprise came after reports that the record, their follow-up to last year's Run the Jewels, had leaked:

RTJ2 features collaborations with Rage Against the Machine frontman Zack de la RochaBlink-182 drummer Travis Barker, Beyoncé collaborator Boots and Diane Coffee (Foxygen's Shaun Fleming).

Run the Jewels recently confirmed the album's feline-themed remix album Meow the Jewels. They're auditioning cats now.
