There is a big aluminum factory here which was formelly owned by a french company, you know, one of those giant, super power companies that have thousands of employees and many factories around the world.

You know those pics where they tell you to look real closely for 20 seconds and then that huge ugly ass pops up and you get scared? well, that worker sent that email to the leader of the company up in France. When I say leader, I mean the chief. The big boss. The owner.

He wanted to get fired btw

It is hard to say if she got away with this or not. An e-mail was sent to everyone today clarifying the company's position on private (and not so private) e-mails.

The e-mail had the tone of "we are very, very serious about this" but at the same time it had a sense of dont do it in the future, rather than justifying any action they may have taken against this employee.

But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
