I'll post this in commemoration of January 1st in which it became illegal to smoke in any public building in my province. I can't see many bars and restaurants weathering this.

Hmm

While I'm at it, can you feature that it's a violation of a local bylaw to serve alcoholic beverages in a bar that features strippers in this city too.

One of the things I love about norway (not too many of them) is that that law is present here too. No smoking in bars or restaurants...I love that law.

Smokers are b!tching about it, while non smokers (around 70% of the norwegian population) people get to breathe the fresh air in restaurants

:hyper: :strumma: :scratchin: :D

they have some laws here too. No smoking in hospitals and all public buildins but people only respect the hospital laws but smoke everywhere else unless you actually bother someone. All that because EVERYONE smokes.

Restaurants have smoking/no smoking sections but bars? You want to breathe clean air in a bar? A ban like that would never work because the policemen, judges, lawmakers, etc... are all smokers too hehe

Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
