Man Charged Under Patriot Act for Laser

NEWARK, N.J. - Federal authorities Tuesday used the Patriot Act to charge a man with pointing a laser beam at an airplane overhead and temporarily blinding the pilot and co-pilot.

The FBI acknowledged the incident had no connection to terrorism but called David Banach's actions "foolhardy and negligent."

Banach, 38, of Parsippany admitted to federal agents that he pointed the light beam at a jet and a helicopter over his home near Teterboro Airport last week, authorities said. Initially, he claimed his daughter aimed the device at the helicopter, they said.

Definitely a Bush or Nader vote caster, or possibly one of those 3rd party candidates I seen that I thought should be ruled clinically insane with some of their "ideas".

Kerry was probably reasonably intelligent..............for a panderer that is.

American Pilot Sees Laser Beam Near Dallas

GRAPEVINE, Texas - The captain of an American Airlines jet reported a laser beam penetrated the cockpit as the plane prepared to land at Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport.

The pilot was examined after Sunday night's incident and doctors found no permanent damage to his eyes. His first officer was flying the plane, which landed safely.

The bright lasers — usually green — can temporarily blind pilots.

That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention. 
      But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020."
