it seems they always take some kind o' weirdass delight in talking about these huge fires over the holidays. that or horrible traffic accidents ('the death toll is....'). that's 'news.' and yeah, i think there's a big dif between fires/accidents and the tsunami--that's news AFAIC.

Back here in RI, they are still sorting out the blame for the Great White / Station Night Club fire, and that was nearly 2 years ago now... :(

My heart goes out to the Buenos Aires community--with that many people killed or injured, there are going to be thousands of people affected by this.
