Sinéad O'Connor has joined the "Ban Bossy" debate—her just-announced upcoming record is titled I'm Not Bossy, I'm the Boss. According to a note on her blog, it was indeed inspired by Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg's Beyoncé-endorsed campaign to empower young girls: "It can be tricky being a female boss and I think Sheryl’s campaign is a terribly important one."

Bossy follows 2012's very good How About I Be Me (And You Be You)? and will be out August 12 via Nettwerk. Previously, O'Connor announced on her Facebook page that the album would be called The Vishnu Room.

But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
