LOS ANGELES -- Several major record labels sued the operator of the Russian music Web site AllofMP3.com on Wednesday, claiming the company has been profiting by selling copies of music without their permission. The lawsuit was filed in federal court in New York against Moscow-based Mediaservices, which owns AllofMP3 and another music site, allTunes.com. A slate of major record labels, including Arista Records LLC, Warner Bros. Records Inc., Capitol Records Inc. and UMG Recordings Inc., are behind the lawsuit. DURHAM, N.C. - The district attorney dropped rape charges Friday against the three Duke University lacrosse players after the stripper who accused them changed her story again. But the men still face kidnapping and sex charges that could bring more than 30 years in prison. A lawyer for one of the athletes bitterly demanded that District Attorney Mike Nifong drop the remaining counts, accusing him of offering shifting theories of the crime in an attempt to win the case at any cost. about what? i'm by no means a militarist, but you would be a fool to question america's capabilities in this arena if you're socially progressive you focus on the work not on publicizing your ego or your deeds--i think the man's phony, or at the very least an egomaniac. I'm happy he's helping some of the less fortunate, but lets see how long it lasts. Why do you think he's so great?
