I think their tactics are wrong--but, have they ever stooped as low as the perpetrators of animal cruelty? I agree MI that they shouldnt necessarily be the 'deciders'--on the other hand, someone has to speak up... I don't think society does a good enough job at it

I was doing a test search tonight on MetaTube and plugged in this rock anthem and came up with covers not only the original by Bob Dylan, but covers by Jimi Hendrix and the Rolling Stones. So I'm going to put them all here - which do you prefer? -

LOS ANGELES, CA Monday Dec.11.2006 /netmusiccountdown.com/ -- U2, Kaiser Chiefs, Maximo Park, and about 4,000 other bands have taken out a full page newspaper ad calling for the improvement of British copyright law. The ad, which appeared in the Financial Times, stated "We call upon the UK Government to support the extension of copyright in sound recordings." Right now the UK copyright limit is at 50 years, while the U.S. holds it at 95. The British Phonographic Industry was pushing to have the rules changed to get up to speed with the U.S., but that hope was dampened by the Gowers Report, which recommended that the extension not be granted. Pop star George Michael has been charged with being "unfit to drive" after an incident in which he was found passed out in his car. The singer will appear at Brent Magistrates Court in London on January 11 after he was arrested in north London in October. Michael was found by officers after worried motorists dialled 999 to report his car was causing an obstruction at traffic lights in Cricklewood. Read More
