Ringo Starr recruited Eurythmics producer Dave Stewart for his fourteenth album, "Liverpool 8", which is somewhat autobiographical. The album includes some ballads and some rock and blues numbers, with Ringo, of course, at the center stage. I particularly liked the cut "Gone Are The Days", which is somewhat experimental pop ... just the thing you might have expected from Ringo if he had contributed one of his own songs to The Beatles' "Revolver." Ars Technica reports that "Swedish prosecutors dump 4,000 legal docs on The Pirate Bay" - but the admins there don't seem too worried: Last November, Peter Sunde told Ars that, should charges come, he's sure of a legal victory. "I'm quite confident we're gonna win and I was expecting this to happen," he said. No. We are talking about their political beliefs. Extremely conservative. Some of the founders have ties to the CIA and have Reagan-Thatcher political philosophies. The world they want to create is anti-nature - totally virtual, where everyone knows everything about you. That to me, is scary.
