  1. It's that time of year when all of the holiday songs come out to play, but Kelly Rowland may have just topped them all. On an episode of Good Mythical Morning with Rhett McLaughlin and Link Neal, Rowland was asked to sing classic Christmas carols to the tune of pop songs. For one of the songs, Kelly was asked to perform "Jingle Bells" to the melody of the Destiny's Child classic "Say My Name." The song is so silly that Rowland cracks up twice as she sings the famous Christmas carol lyrics to the "Say My Name" flow. Emma McIntyre/Getty Images Kelly is promoting her Lifetime movie "Merry Liddle Christmas" which is based on true events. The singer told Essence Magazine's Yes Girl podcast, "We had the family in town two years ago, [and invited them] into our new home for Christmas. I was like, ‘It’s going to be so special if we have our family come in.’ My husband’s like, ‘No, it’s not.’ He’s like, ‘Let’s just wait, have them here the next year.’ I was like, ‘No, I want to do it.’ He’s like, ‘Nope, not a good idea. I have them anyway.” Watch the video of Kelly "jinglin' all the way" below to get into the holiday spirit. View the full article
  2. Kanye West's Yeezy brand had a huge 2019 as it dropped numerous colorways of some of their most popular silhouettes. Sneakerheads scooped up every single pair that hit the market which led Kanye to drop even more sneakers. To finish off 2019, West came through with the Adidas Yeezy Boost 380 "Alien" which is a brand new chunky silhouette that had fans intrigued from the get-go. The shoe was originally dropped in low quantities online but according to @yeezymafia, it is finally getting a retail release. As explained in the Instagram post below, the shoe will be coming out on Thursday, December 12th in very limited quantities. This means you chances of copping are pretty slim but if you live in proximity to A Ma Maniere, atmos, DOE, Dover Street Market, END., Kasina, KITH, Offspring, Packer, Sneakersnstuff, Social Status, or UNDEFEATED, you have somewhat of a shot. This might be your last chance at copping the Adidas Yeezy Boost 380 "Alien" for retail so if you want these, stay alert on release day. Stay tuned for updates regarding this release as we will be sure to bring you all of the latest information. Let us know in the comments below if you plan on copping these or if you will be skipping out on this one. View the full article
  3. Taking a look through some of Lil Uzi Vert's most successful songs of all time, one producer tends to stand strong as a constant: Maaly Raw. The two once had a stellar working relationship, growing with Uzi and truly allowing the young man to flourish over eclectic, high-energy beats that suited his style. When we compiled a list of what we want out of Eternal Atake, one of our main points included production from Maaly Raw. Unfortunately, after Uzi's rant on social media last night, the chances of that actually happening are slim. Going after a number of his former collaborators, including Playboi Carti, DJ Drama, Don Cannon, and others, the Philadelphia rapper accused Maaly Raw of being a "snake" and trying to run off with a cut of his money. It didn't take long for the beatmaker to clear the air about the scathing allegations. "That’s all false information there! Not true at all," said Maaly Raw exclusively to HotNewHipHop. The producer explained that there was a disagreement between himself and his former manager (one of Uzi's homies) and that nothing was ever stolen or taken from Uzi. According to Maaly Raw, this was a pure misunderstanding and he never got a chance to provide his side of the story. Last night's rant was allegedly fueled by misinformation that was fed to Uzi from Maaly Raw's ex-manager. In addition to that, the "Money Longer" beatmaker tells us that, all day long, Uzi's own friends from Philadelphia have been calling him to back him up, noting that they know the real tea and aren't "rocking with Uzi on this subject." What do you make of this increasingly dramatic matter now that Maaly Raw has spoken? We're still hoping for more link-ups between these two talented musicians so, hopefully, now that both sides of the story are out, Uzi and Maaly can get back in the studio. View the full article
  4. When we first heard Casino's single "Lowkey" in the summer, it was already a hit. The Freebandz-affiliated rapper knew that he could make it even better though. Thinking of who would sound dope over the beat, Casino decided to give the creator of trap music a call, ringing up T.I. and asking him to lay down a verse to start off the cut. Today, the new version of "Lowkey" arrives. The updated version of the song was uploaded to streaming services today and, somehow, it's even colder than the original. Tip starts us off with some incredible bars about being a legend, creating an entire subgenre of rap, and being a general inspiration to the young rappers of the world. It's nice to hear Tip get in his bag like this. Listen to the new track below and let us know if you're rocking with it. Quotable Lyrics: That pu**y n***a can't out-rap me That bitch want to get at me Make classic after classic, they in their feelings, I be laughing I'm on legendary status In my hood, wish you would Most times I just don't do shit 'cause when I do, I overdo it View the full article
  5. In Billboard's defense, this list was probably aggregated using hard facts and data from their charting system. Also, each song listed was insanely impactful and dominated the radio airwaves. However, looking at their Top Ten Hip-Hop and R&B Songs of the Decade list is a pretty cringe-worthy task. This has been an incredible ten years for the rap genre, developing into one of the most-listened-to styles of music in the entire world. These days, the Billboard chart is filled up with hip-hop selections, composing the majority of the most popular global tunes. Still though, the fact that their decade-end list looks like this is almost a travesty. Starting us off at the tenth position is Drake, who had a monster decade with "God's Plan." Pharrell Williams' "Happy" follows that up before Travis Scott and Drake's collaboration on "SICKO MODE" takes home the eighth slot. Drake then appears again with "One Dance" before two tracks from Post Malone and one from The Weeknd. The top three is where things seriously go awry though. Robin Thicke's "Blurred Lines" earns a bronze medal, Bruno Mars' "That's What I Like" gets silver and, of all the songs to have won this decade, Macklemore's "Thrift Shop" takes the pole position. Aight then. What do you think of Billboard's list? Are we being a touch too dramatic? View the full article
  6. Louis C.K. always goes far with his comedy, and it seems he just takes it further every time. At a Thanksgiving night performance in Tel Aviv, Israel, Louis told the crowd, "I’d rather be in Auschwitz than New York City.” Auschwitz, the World War II concentration camp, is a place of total horror and pain, especially for that community. C.K. then adds, "I mean now, not when it was open.” According to Page Six, the audience responded with "startled laughter" and "applause." Rich Fury/Getty Images Louis C.K. has been in hot water and his reputation has suffered due to him masturbating in front of women without their consent. C.K. is on an international tour as an effort to repair the damage done to his career from the public revelations of the sexual misconduct. While the comedian's paternal grandfather was Jewish, his Auschwitz comment (to an Israeli audience) is now getting worldwide attention. At the same show, he even brought up his deviant behavior with women saying, "if they say ‘yes,’ then still don’t do it, because it’s not popular." Louis has joked about the misconduct before and was met with criticism. Louis is due to perform in Slovakia and Hungary, as well as New Orleans, Houston, Akron, Ohio and Detroit. 7. Has Future finally found the one? It feels like each week, the Atlanta native has a new baby mother. He's cycled through the majority of the fashion industry, dating models and even heading over to social media to look for his soul mate. One story that is currently making the gossip rounds has to do with his alleged new boo Lori Harvey. Until today, neither party had confirmed their coupledom and, this morning, gossipers noted that Steve Harvey may have actually banned Future from attending any future family events. While that report remains unconfirmed, Pluto's eyes for Lori Harvey are no longer a mystery. David Livingston/Getty Images While he doesn't exactly confirm the fact that he's dating the winner of Hot Girl Summer, Future is letting the world know that he thinks she's perfect. Posting a photo of her to his social media accounts, the rapper referred to her as "flawless." He included two diamond emojis, which prompted fans to peep her wrist, noticing something that falls in line with the remainder of Future baby mamas: an Audemars Piguet watch. In this case though, that doesn't exactly prove anything. Lori Harvey comes from an insanely rich family and she could easily have bought her own bling. The coincidence is too much for some to pass up though. So, do you think this is proof that the two are an item? View the full article
  8. Love is in the air for a certain Xanarchist. On Friday morning, Lil Xan posted a photo on Instagram of him and his new boo, Gabby Parsons. According to her Instagram bio, she is 22, only a year younger than Xan, and (brace yourself) a self-identified Belieber. She has 14 thousand followers and counting on her account, @gabbytookthese, and appears to be some kind of aspiring influencer or vlogger, as her bio includes a link to her Youtube channel where she posts clickbait-y titles on challenge videos. She also posts "cringe tik toks," in case you were wondering. Xan looks pretty into his new girlfriend in his post, especially with the accompanying caption, "Te Amoooo ." Xan has previously been involved in relationships with fellow music artist, Noah Cyrus, and Annie Smith, who was reportedly pregnant with his child in February. He recently revealed that he is working on his sobriety after suffering seizures due to withdrawal from opioids. He insists that he is "completely sober now," and, it appears, lucky in love. Gabby posted a story of she and Xan kissing on Thursday, as well, with the caption "thankful for you @xanxiety." The two lovebirds are all over each other in both posts, posing in front of a gorgeous view of a lit-up city. View the full article
  9. It's always nice to see artists pay homage to one another, especially when their impact might very well slide by, otherwise unnoticed. Today, Nas took a moment to show some love to Mary J. Blige, an undeniable legend in the game, and one who has contributed many timeless collaborations to the hip-hop cause. From Dr. Dre to Nas, The Game to Method Man, Mary J. has been a fixture in the game for decades now, carving out a lane as RnB's longstanding queen. Ian Gavan/Getty Images Now, with the anniversary of My Life in the books, Nas has taken a moment to pay homage to the self-professed soundtrack of his life. "Congrats @therealmaryjblige on 25 Years," writes Nas, My Life album was the soundtrack to ‘my life’ went it dropped. This year we did The Royalty Tour together it was an Album celebration every night! Congrats Mary!" Consider the timeline, which finds Nas coming off the release of Illmatic, steadily rising as a figure to watch in the ridiculously stacked East Coast golden era pantheon. Now, watching his run manifest into a full-fledged co-headlining tour, we can't help but feel thankful for both artists and everything they've given us. Check out the tribute below, and show some love to Mary J. Blige in the comments section. View the full article
  10. Houston is having a moment right now in hip-hop and Travis Scott wants in on the fun. He has been at the forefront of the H-Town takeover in recent years and, this summer, he was joined by Megan Thee Stallion who absolutely spazzed on everyone, becoming one of the most popular artists on the planet. After the success of Astroworld, we were all waiting to see when La Flame would come through on his next body of work and it appears as though we won't need to wait too much longer. Out of absolutely nowhere, Travis Scott updated his merch shop for Black Friday with a bunch of new gear and fans started to notice that the all-black offerings would be packaged with a brand new album called Jack Boys. According to a press release, the upcoming project will be the official debut studio album from the Cactus Jack creative collective, which includes Sheck Wes, Don Toliver, Chase B, and Travis himself. Nicholas Hunt/Getty Images Jack Boys is expected to drop before the end of the year so it may soon be time for us to rage as a unit. Including the hit single "HIGHEST IN THE ROOM," there is not much additional information known about the album as of yet. However, a range of clothing is currently available to support the drop. Are you looking forward to hearing new music from Travis Scott, Sheck Wes, Don Toliver and Chase B? View the full article

  13. It feels like it's been a while since we've heard anything about Olivia Longott. The New York-bred singer made waves in the early 2000s after Clive Davis signed her to J Records and she released her self-titled studio album. The record was met with moderate success and it seemed as if she was on her way to R&B-pop stardom, but Olivia would later be released from J because, she felt, Clive was trying to mold her into something she wasn't. Amy Sussman/Getty Images Not long after leaving J Records, Olivia inked a deal with 50 Cent and was referred to as the First Lady of G-Unit. Her vocals can be found on Fif's songs like "Candy Shop" and "So Amazing," but due to reported conflicts going on within the label, things didn't work out for her there, either. Olivia's talents are undeniable, but she hasn't been able to have her moment in the spotlight like many believes she deserves. Her short stint on Love & Hip Hop years ago put her singing abilities on display, but the drama on the show also was a heavy burden to bear. It's been seven years since Olivia has released an album, and as fans continue to await the next career move from the singer, she's been living a peaceful life. On Thanksgiving, she shared on Instagram that she's engaged, however, she's keeping the identity of her fiancé under wraps. "To say you have been my rock is an understatement. You are my fortress and my shield," she wrote in the caption of her photo. "You protect me at all costs and I am grateful to have your love & trust. My family is your family & vice versa. I have never been more confident about anything or anyone. I am thankful for you this year and every year to come. Thank you for literally lifting me up when I felt like the world was crumbling around me. May God bless our Union." Check out Olivia's post and read her message in full below. While you're there, check out her music video for her track "Twist It" featuring Lloyd Banks. View the full article
  14. Ricky Gervais is set to host the 2020 Golden Globe Awards on NBC. During the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade NBC shared two promos of Gervais as the host of the star-studded event. The first clip of Ricky as host shows him spraying everyone around him (camera included) with champagne and then you hear a female announcer voice say, "as usual, we have no idea what he's going to do." In the second clip, he introduces himself to the audience as this year's host and says "so...there's your early gift. Is it just what you wanted? No...it's not is it?..." Dimitrios Kambouris/Getty Images The British funnyman who is best known for being both creator and star of "The Office" has hosted the Globes 4 times prior to the upcoming show. He hosted in 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2016 but says that 2020 will be his last time. In the press release announcing him as host Gervais said that it “could make for a fun evening” which sounds like a likelihood. Ricky Gervais likes to go far with jokes and isn't afraid to poke fun at anyone, so in other words...no celebrity is safe. Gervais has won three Golden Globes himself, two Primetime Emmys and seven BAFTAs. The Golden Globes will be hosted at The Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, California and airs on Sunday, January 5, 2020 at 8 p.m. ET. View the full article
  15. Happy wife, happy life, indeed. On Tuesday, just four days after her 23rd birthday, Hailey Bieber surprised her hubby Justin Bieber with a white diamond-encrusted chain as a surprise gift in Miami. The necklace is made of white gold, and, according to TMZ, is valued at $90k. Justin showed off his new bling on Instagram on Tuesday with the caption: "@jadellebh got the ice on lock." Hailey reportedly reached out to the L.A. jeweler Jadelle Beverly Hills right before her and Justin's trip to Miami. It's a bit peculiar that Hailey would present Justin with such a lavish gift immediately after her birthday (especially since Justin's isn't until March). It's even more peculiar that she got him something so extravagant since Justin's birthday gift to Hailey—an albeit gorgeous diamond watch—is valued at $20k less than his new ice. Was Hailey trying to beat Justin at his own excessively wealthy game? I guess when you're that rich, a mere $20k here and there doesn't make much of a difference. Besides, it's the thought that counts, isn't it? Justin also spilled that the two of them are planning to have kids soon in an Instagram post by the singer, where he wished his wife a happy birthday. "next season BABIES," he wrote after some kind words about Hailey. Keep an eye out for signs of a baby Bieber on the way. View the full article

  17. When Elon Musk presented his Cybertruck to the world things didn't necessarily go as planned. For instance, when Elon and the vehicle's head designer Franz Vol Holzhausesn showcased how durable the car's windows are by throwing a metal ball at it, the smashed result wasn't what anyone was expecting. Elon later explained why it went down, writing on Twitter: "Sledgehammer impact on door cracked base of glass, which is why steel ball didn’t bounce off. Should have done steel ball on window, *then* sledgehammer the door. Next time." Loren Elliott/Getty Images Despite the failed attempt in showcasing an aspect of the car's durability, Elon suggested on Twitter that pre-orders for the truck have rounded out to 250,000. The price of a Cybertruck starts at $39,900 but when filling out an application for the car, individuals have the right to configure it how they please. “After you submit your completed pre-order and the options you selected become available in production, we will invite you to complete the configuration of your Vehicle," reads the Cybertruck Motor Vehicle Pre-Order Agreement. "We will then issue you the Vehicle Configuration and Final Price Sheet based on the base price of the model and any options included or that you select.” View the full article
  18. The Pussycat Dolls official Twitter account posted a photo of the group's signature logo on Wednesday, with the caption: "#PCDReunion." Of course, this caused major speculation on the details of the alleged reunion, which have now been shared by X Factor judge Louis Walsh. The girl group, who broke up in 2009 after releasing their album Doll Domination, will be reuniting on the finale of X Factor Celebrity this Saturday, says Walsh. Nicole Scherzinger, the lead singer of the former girl group, is a fellow judge on the show as well. The group hasn't performed together in 10 years. However, the Dolls won't just be reuniting for a one-time performance. The group's members, which include Scherzinger, Ashley Roberts, Jessica Sutta, Carmit Bachar and Kimberley Wyatt, were guests on the British radio show Heart Breakfast on Thursday, where they announced a reunion tour. "The stars have aligned and the Dolls are getting back together," said Scherzinger. Roberts shared that, "there's been unfinished business. It’s been 10 years ... we just all were ready to do it," and that "a lot of time has passed and ... we’ve matured, we’ve grown up, we’ve gained life tools, life experience." PCD posted their tour dates on Instagram on Thursday, kicking off in Dublin in April 2020. The group, known for their sensual choreography and hit songs "Don't Cha" and "Buttons," was first formed by Robin Antin in 2003 as a modern burlesque troupe, and originally included member Melody Thornton as well, who will not be joining the Dolls for the reunion. Controversy circulated around the group in 2017 when former pseudo-member Kaya Jones claimed that the group was really a front for a prostitution ring, though the rest of PCD denied these claims. 19. It's about time that the Griselda guys start getting mainstream love. After running the underground for years, Benny The Butcher, Conway The Machine and Westside Gunn are out here attacking the world with a brand new body of work, ordering the spotlight on them and assuring that the Buffalo label gets its due respect. With features from 50 Cent and Eminem on WWCD, we can guarantee that there will be a lot of attention around the project. We're highlighting the "Bang" remix with Marshall Mathers here, taking a look at all that goes down in the five-minute lyrical display. Referencing everybody from Canibus, Charlamagne Tha God, Nicki Minaj, Meek Mill, Iggy Azalea, Nas, Tupac, and many more, Eminem absolutely goes off in the final verse to "Bang." Adding his own flavor to the track, Eminem complements the existing spots from Benny, Conway and Gunn. While there's a lot to unpack in each artist's appearance, Em deserves an entire feature just on how he approaches his section. Noting that he should be compared to people like Biggie, Pac, and Nas instead of Iggy Azalea, Milli Vanilli and others, the Detroit legend also thinks back to all the careers he's destroyed. "That was back when I smoked Canibus/Man, but it was tough, 'cause I was a fan of his/So it sucked to hand him his ass," he raps on the track. What do you think of the new and improved version of "Bang," which has new middle verses from Griselda? Quotable Lyrics: Yeah, but I think of the rappers I slayed and buried like every night And every career I might've killed, sometimes I say a prayer and I Wonder is there a heaven for a G? And if so, is the sanctuary nice? Studios for rap like Coolio, shootin' craps at gangster's paradise View the full article

  21. Ever since he announced that this would be his final album of all time, we've been dreading this bittersweet moment. That's really the only word to describe this. For years, The Game has been a leader in the modern West Coast rap scene, creating trends and bringing his gritty tales to life through his bars. He has put so many rappers on and now, it's his turn to step out of the spotlight with one final body of work to prove to everybody that he's really all that.
