  1. Oh yea? Well, I'm cutting the grass. How do you like them apples?
  2. It's the only reality show I've ever watched besides the Osbournes. The contrast in family lifestyles is astounding, especially where the children are concerned. I have only seen one of the new episodes, though. I think it's great how his kids ride him. Here's this rock icon, fame, fortune, etc, on the outside. But, in his home, he's the whipping boy. Makes me laugh.

    Minnie riperton

SNL's Maya Rudolph is her daughter.
  4. Heck, if the boy doesn't want to, all he's got to do is get a lawyer. The media possibilities alone probably has the buzzards circling already. Is the boy following the same faith? (forgive me, I didn't read the whole article)

    Question

Most of those singers, I would classify as 'crooners'. They tend to lean towards a mellower, more romantic sound. Bennett, Martin, Sinatra, Connick, and the like, sound best when they have a lot of accompaniment, (i.e., piano, brass, strings). Martin and Sinatra are my favorites, with Martn getting the nod over Sinatra. Here are some that are easy to get. Sinatra: Fly Me To The Moon I've Got You Under My Skin Luck Be A Lady Swing on a Star Martin: You're Nobody Till Somebody Loves You Sway Return To Me Besame Mucho you can also include Johnny Mathis, Andy Williams, Bing Crosby (although he's a bit before all these others). there are lots of guys who sing this sort of genre. I'll have to look some up.
  6. This album. Write Me A Letter is playing right now. Then Movin' Out
  7. The key element in a peaceful journey is being on the right path. Everyone's path is different, I guess, but I tend to agree with Kedis' philosophy. When you find something that works for you, you'll know it.
  8. I know some of their stuff, and I actually prefer their slower stuff. It settles me.
  9. I enjoyed this for a while, but I too, haven't listened to it in a long time. It was exploratory for me at the time. I liked Diamonds on the Soles of her Shoes. Ithink that's what it was called.
  10. Well it's about time. this guy's been singing through his nose for 25 years.
  11. I have every Kiss album up until Revenge, I think. I loved them in school. (Hey, it was 1978, I was 14. Do the math, LOL) I coverted to cd in 87, and KISS cds weren't high on my priotity list. I didn't listen to them for probably 10 years, from around 87 to 97. Then I started replacing theirs. It was really cool, hearing them after so long away. It's always cool to rediscover old music.
  12. I'm working. Someone has to pay the bills around here. I understand the bike thing, though. I don't ride (My fear of crashing is greater than my need to ride), but the bikers at work are starting to get ansty. They're ready to get out.
  13. "Playble.com will give companies with strong brands the opportunity to support music and artists directly" This might make me sound stupid, but I can't make any sense out of this. What's a 'strong brand?' Sounds like 'do they have marketability?' Heck, that's a musician, not a brand. This makes bear very sad.
  14. Three minutes and fifty nine seconds of my life...gone. Shoot me in my mud parts? What the....???
  15. Seriously, I don't have a problem with the actual comment. People say idiotic things on tv and radio every day, no matter what the color of their skin. I just ignore them. What bugs me is, I feel bad for the girls he singled out. These are good kids, in college, making something of themselves. as far as stern goes, he was funny for 6 months in 1987. Then he was old. The thing is, though, there's always going to be 14 year old boys who think Stern is the coolest and wittiest guy on radio. When you're 14, naked boobies are awesome.
  16. you know, I was actually going to mention how much the vocals sound like Blood Sweat and Tears. I assumed for years that it was.
  17. Actually, when I first read this, I freaked a little. Can you imagine what would have been lost, had the Cash family still owned the placed, and it still held the Cash belongings? Good grief, the musical and historical things in that house that could have been lost. Wow.
  18. I've said this since she showed up: Madonna is a genius. Her music may not be for everyone (I like some, not all), but it cannot be denied, she knows how to get people's attention. Burning crosses, doing naked photos, etc. And now, she's got the hottest hand in the business to drop her name. You can believe, if she didn't want him to say it, he wouldn't have. Love her, or hate her, she's got game.
