  1. Not everyone liked it but I thought the first installment was masterful. He'd really have to do some acting now days for me to forget what a douche I think he is.
  2. I'd like to hear some suggestions too. Is the end of this month d-day?
  3. Thank goodness. It only took a few moments to realize it wasn't a remake of Black Sabbath's Paranoid and all is still right with the world.
  4. Hope he beats it. He's got a license to kill. (If you think of the next line... my comment seems sadly inappropriate and contrary to my actual opinion.)
  5. I'm a bit late, but happy birthday.

    new job

Sweet. You and Moodyblue have it pretty good.
  7. Whatever you do, don't try the link Dude posted. It appears to be step-by-step instructions on how to catch the gay. I can offer an eight part program here with you. Step one You need to begin exposing yourself in public. Start small by showing people your dick. Assure them that despite appearances your pecker does in fact work. Learn to carry a doughnut on it to impress the plumper lasses. Take a few months to really get used to step one and I'll post step two.
  8. I admit I didn't open the link. From the story title I picture her serving as an inspiration to new generations of anorexic and bulimic girls.
  9. I lose all respect for artists that use it. The minute I hear it in a song now I tune out. Here's my little analogy: Picture a commercial airline pilot that gains incredible notoriety for his amazing understanding and efficiency at running the plane's autopilot. No matter how well he runs the autopilot there is no actual proof that he can actually fly the plane. A failure of the autopilot in a "live" situation could result in his entire career crashing down. Watch the "Autotune the News" series on youtube and you'll get what I'm saying. Shortay.
  10. He does. I think he's had real computers before but the macs make him feel prettier. edit - oops beaten to the post
  11. That prison Thriller was first performed some time ago. It was making the rounds in the last 2 years.
  12. That was the most uncomfortable interview in a while.
  13. Tsk Tsk Joe. I'm trying to play nice because the guy died.
  14. Mark Knopfler (singer and lead guitar) is probably my all time favorite guitarist. Check out Eric Clapton doing a live performance of the track with the band. Or Mark Knopfler and Eric Clapton performing Layla live Or the same duo playing Clapton's Cocaine.
  15. That's Dire Straits singing... The Sultans of Swing Youtube Vid: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gS9aY41G9EQ&feature=fvst
  16. You have to remove the spaces from the link Dude. Giving the attached file a listen...
  17. Damn. How many singers get told to stick to acting? As we all agree, nobody bought tickets because they would have been embarrassed to be seen at the show.
  18. The Ex offered to let me have the girls early for Father's Day. I'm just awaiting their arrival. I feel like we should go do something, but haven't got any ideas yet.
  19. We've probably had this discussion before, but it never hurts to rehash. Last night marked the first concert my daughter (9) ever attended. I took her to The Offspring with tickets I bought her back on her birthday. She got a shirt and witnessed a few really mediocre opening acts before Offspring took the stage. How were they? Awesome, I could have listened all night. And before you think that a nine year old doesn't belong at The Offspring, realize it was an "all-ages show" and that there were at least 10-20 kids her age there. We left early though because she formed a slightly different opinion. It was too loud (and I gave her earplugs), it was too bright (the 40 second strobe sequence took a bit out of me even) and it was too hot. It was damn hot. The weather here has been above mild and when thousands of screaming fans start mashing around in a general admission atmosphere the temperature sky-rocketed. It sort of made the alcohol and dope smell stronger in return too. All in all, I think she got her money's worth out of the experience though. I don't think she realized before what a punk band's target audience looks like. My first concert was the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band back in 92. It was an extremely limited engagement (I think they called it their back to the roots tour) so it was basically 1/6th of the concert hall roped off for the performance. It was fantastic. The band was 'right there' for everyone in attendance. What was everyone's first concert?
