  1. Save $50: As of Nov. 25, the Meta Quest 2 bundle with Resident Evil 4 and Beat Saber is $50 off for Black Friday. Grab it for $349.99 at Amazon, Best Buy, and more. Until Meta decides to upstage itself with a Quest 3 (a likely, but unconfirmed successor), not even that annoying $100 price hike in August could throw the Quest 2 off its pedestal as the best VR headset to buy right now. Following that little stunt, we're feeling pretty lucky to see a $50 discount on the Meta Quest 2 bundle for Black Friday — from multiple retailers, at that, seemingly keeping us out of "out of stock" territory. Now just $349.99, the 128GB Quest 2 bundle seems (even more) ridiculously affordable compared to the other Quest in the fam, the $1,499 Quest Pro. If you want to get technical about the value of this bundle, let's also consider the two freebies: Resident Evil 4 and Beat Saber. The latter, a super sick VR rhythm game where you slash beats to music, has been included with the Quest 2 since Meta jacked the price — but that's going away. A tweet from Meta in August revealed that the free Beat Saber download offer would only be available through Dec. 31. Buying the bundle now not only saves you $50 on the headset and Resident Evil 4, but the extra $29.99 that Beat Saber will cost in 2023. 2. SAVE UP TO $150: The all-new Google Pixel 7 and Google Pixel 7 Pro just got some sweet Black Friday discounts. Score a Pixel 7 for $499 ($100 off with a qualifying trade-in) at Best Buy, or get a 7 Pro for $749 ($150 off, no trade-in required) at Amazon. While Black Friday is known for TV and home deals, it's also one of the best times of the year to upgrade your phone. Black Friday tech discounts are usually paired with some sweet trade-in offers, which brings popular smartphones down to seriously low prices. Case in point: You can grab a Google Pixel 7 or 7 Pro for $499 and $749, respectively, as of Nov. 25. SEE ALSO: Pixel 7 and 7 Pro review: Google weaves its camera magic again As with all phone deals, there's a bit of a catch for the $499 Pixel 7 deal. This price is available at Best Buy with an eligible trade-in, so head to the site and input the details for your desired trade-in to see if your device is eligible. Most of the previous Google Pixel models qualify, and some will even rack up an additional couple hundred bucks in discounts. The $749 Amazon deal, however, doesn't come with any fine print. It's just a nice $150 off the latest and greatest Google Pixel. We also saw this same pricing at Google, if you want to buy directly. If you do opt for Google and have a trade-in, you can score an even bigger discount, too. 4. Is there such a thing as having too many stocking stuffers on hand? We're inclined to believe not. A great stocking stuffer marries usefulness, novelty, and affordability. Stockings aren't where you pull out all the stops, but they provide the perfect opportunity to give someone that small knick-knack that they didn't know they needed, and very well has the potential to change their life. And as for keeping costs low, Black Friday is the perfect time to add a few of these life-changers to your cart. SEE ALSO: All the best gifts on sale for Black Friday Checking all three of those boxes can be tricky, but to make your life easy, and keep the affordability element going strong, we've pulled 35 of the best stocking stuffer deals. Let's start off with a couple of our absolute favorites: OUR TOP PICK: DoorDash gift card — $80 $100 (save $20)Admittedly, $80 is a little on the steep side for a stocking stuffer, but we can almost guarantee that there is no one in your life who would be disappointed to receive this gift card. (And it fits the stocking stuffer small size metric beautifully). Think of it as giving the ease of not having to cook dinner after a long day, the relief at knowing you can order lunch in the middle of a marathon day of meetings, or the reassurance that your college student is eating full meals. 5. In the early days of file-sharing, many of those involved couldn’t believe that music could be downloaded for free. Today, many pirates not only expect more, they demand more, and get it too. As a result, and when everything goes to plan, many of today’s piracy apps are indistinguishable from their legal counterparts. They are as easy to install and feature similar graphical interfaces, with all the latest movies and TV shows a couple of taps away. Such is their prevalence, apps offering less are easily ignored. The most successful pirate apps offer access to superior content libraries than those available on legal services, without charging a penny. Hollywood, Netflix, and almost every other player in the streaming market would love to shut them all down, but that’s more easily said than done. ACE/MPA Take Closer Interest With finite resources, anti-piracy groups usually concentrate on higher-profile apps with larger audiences. This suggests a direct link between the success of an app and the chances of it being shut down. Piracy apps TeaTV, BeeTV and CyberFlix are clearly popular enough to warrant some extra attention. Jan van Voorn is the Executive Vice President & Chief of Global Content Protection at the Motion Picture Association. He’s also head of the Alliance for Creativity and Entertainment, the anti-piracy coalition that has shut down more pirate services in five years than most people knew existed. Documents filed at a California court earlier this month are the first public sign that TeaTV and BeeTV are on the ACE radar. Signed by van Voorne, the DMCA subpoena application targets Cloudflare and requires the company to hand over whatever information it holds on the alleged infringers identified by ACE. The subpoena requires Cloudflare to hand over the following: Information sufficient to identify the alleged infringers of the motion pictures described in the attached notification letter. This would include the individuals’ names, physical addresses, IP addresses, telephone numbers, e-mail addresses, payment information, account updates and account history. The deadline to hand over that information is today, November 25, 2022, so it’s likely that Cloudflare has already complied. Whether Cloudflare had anything useful to hand over is unknown, but from the last five years of ACE operations, we know that DMCA subpoenas are only the start and the group never gives up. MPA/ACE Target Github Repos Exactly a week after the DMCA subpoena application, the Motion Picture Association sent a pair of takedown notices to Github – one targeting TeaTV and the other CyberFlix TV, a popular piracy app with similar functionality. Representing Paramount Pictures, Sony Pictures, Universal City Studios, Warner Bros., Disney and Netflix Studios, LLC, the MPA described both apps as engaged in “massive infringement of copyrighted motion pictures and television shows” with infringement their “predominant use and purpose.” The MPA also provided a document (Exhibit A) containing a “representative list of infringements” occurring via both apps. Those aren’t published by Github but it appears that the MPA wanted to present a clear case of infringement so that Github could see for itself that the apps needed to be taken down. TeaTV is no stranger to publicity having hit the headlines following a high-profile article published by CNBC in Canada. The situation for CyberFlix is also precarious. The app is reported to be a clone of Terrarium TV, which shut down in 2018 under legal pressure, widely attributed to ACE. In 2021, the domain Cyberflix.app ended up in the hands of the MPA. No official announcement followed but seeing the CyberFlix app grow in popularity was always likely to result in a follow up from ACE. Whether ACE was responsible for another recent shutdown is unclear. The developer of Cinema HD reportedly stopped pushing updates to the popular streaming app after facing “legal issues”, a not-uncommon event since ACE appeared on the scene. Whether the same fate awaits TeaTV, BeeTV, and CyberFlix, remains to be seen but life in the spotlight has never been easy for piracy services. The only solution is to remain unsuccessful but that’s never been much of an attraction. 6. FIFA has assured fans that LGBTQ+ rainbow colors are allowed in Qatar's World Cup stadiums. This was announced following an exchange with the Football Association of Wales which tweeted, "FIFA has confirmed that fans with Rainbow Wall bucket hats and rainbow flags will be allowed entry to the stadium for @Cymru’s match against Iran on Friday." Confirmation also comes via The Independent which said FIFA told World Cup federations that the rainbow flag will "not be prohibited." SEE ALSO: Protests sweep through 2022 FIFA World Cup The confirmation from FIFA follows a series of incidents in which fans wearing rainbow flag clothing were denied entry to the stadium because of their attire. A U.S. journalist was told he had to change his rainbow flag T-shirt; former Welsh footballer Laura McAllister and FAW members were forced to remove their rainbow bucket hats. Homosexuality is illegal and punishable by imprisonment in Qatar, which is one of the many reasons the country is a controversial choice as World Cup host But despite assurances from World Cup officials that LGBTQ+ expression would be allowed, it's clear this hasn't always been enforced. In addition to denial of entry for LGBTQ+ clothing, FIFA said it would penalize teams that wear LGBTQ+ armbands, which prompted seven European teams to remove the bands from their uniforms. FIFA has been criticized for failing to follow up on its promises that the World Cup is welcome to everyone. As the first week of the World Cup comes to a close, the question remains: Can we expect to see more rainbow-colored expression in the stadiums? Or will there be more empty promises? 10. SAVE UP TO $20: As of Nov. 25, Apple AirTags are on sale for Black Friday. Grab a single AirTag for $24.98 (14% off) or a 4 pack of AirTags for $79.98 (19% off). If you're the type of person who continually misplaces important things, Apple's AirTags were made for you. Whether you toss them in your bag so your purse is never a lost and found casualty, or you attach them to your dog's collar to track Rover down, these trackers can be lifesavers. Right now, Amazon is offering a single AirTag for just $24.98, 14% off its retail price. You can also opt for the AirTag 4 Pack for $79.98, which is 19% off the regular price. That makes each AirTag about $20 apiece, so if you need to buy multiple for you or your family, that's your best bet right now. Do they actually work, though? According to Mashable reviewer Brenda Stolyar, the answer is a resounding yes. By leveraging Apple's Find My network, iOS users can track down all manner of missing devices. As Stolyar points out, that means "hundreds of millions of Apple devices" make up this network, which means your chances of finding your lost item are pretty good. With seamless Bluetooth pairing, reliable alerts (complete with sound), and precision finding, the AirTag is a must-have for anyone who routinely misplaces things. While AirTags do have the capacity for misuse by bad actors, there are privacy features and safety alerts in place meant to help keep you safe, such as Safety Alerts that help inform you of who can see your location and your AirTag. Snag a few today so you can stop stressing over anything that goes missing and start using your iPhone to find it. 12. triplej’s Like A Version gives artists a space to deliver creative covers of popular songs, often outside their own genre. For Flume’s latest appearance, he and Toro y Moi decided to cover the viral hit “Shooting Stars” by Bag Raiders… and it’s absolutely brilliant. The performance begins simply enough, Toro with a microphone, Flume with a single CDJ and a CD. Toro handles the vocals like an expert as Flume stares ahead contemplatively before he picks up a saxophone, fed through some kind of distortion. As the song approaches the drop, a couple of body builders enter from the wings and just start doing arm curls. At the drop, another man enters from behind as lights illuminate a disco ball. He’s dancing the back and doing poses, the body builders are doing lifts and curls, and Toro is just banging his head expressionlessly. At the same time, Flume looks like he’s been thrown into the situation without any prior idea of what was going to happen, but he’s accepting his fate. The cover itself is brilliant and awesome, but the performance is really what seals the deal. Watch the whole thing below. This article was first published on Your EDM. 17. SAVE $500: The ultra-immersive FORME Studio smart fitness mirror is on sale for $1,995 this Black Friday. It typically retails for $2,495, so you'll be saving a solid 20%. Thinking about ponying up for a Peloton Bike+ this Black Friday? We can think of a better way to spend $2,495. A winner of our coveted Mashable's Choice Award, the FORME Studio is a fully customizable fitness mirror featuring a 4K touchscreen on which you can stream expert-led classes right at home. Mashable contributor (and self-described fitness tech obsessive) RJ Andersen deemed it "a convenient, personalized luxury" that's "worth the splurge" in her 4.6/5-star review, but you can alleviate a little bit of the sticker shock if you act fast: FORME's Black Friday sale has brought it down to $1,995 now through Monday, Nov. 28 — a 20% savings. SEE ALSO: Black Friday fitness deals have officially arrived: Save on Peloton, Fitbit, and more The FORME Studio is one of the newer names on the burgeoning smart fitness mirror market, but it instantly made an impression on Andersen. "I loved how the FORME actually looked like an intentional part of my home decor, which was huge compared to other fitness equipment (like my spin bike) that eats up a lot of floor space," she wrote. It's like a Tonal or Lululemon's The Mirror, but taller and prettier. FORME's on-demand class library isn't quite as extensive as that of the Peloton app, but it's easily searchable and grows regularly. Users also have the option of taking live one-on-one personal training sessions — "a fantastic touch," said Andersen. The FORME Studio ships standard with a yoga mat, a heart rate monitor, a cleaning cloth, and camera covers, but you can score an additional complimentary training package for your first month of workouts as part of its Black Friday sale. Choose from Custom Training (a $149 value) or Custom + Live 1:1 Training (a $399 value); the latter adds a 60-minute initial video assessment with a personal trainer and weekly 1-hour live training sessions. That's because, unlike Earth, our lunar satellite has no weather to wash away the collision, nor intense geologic activity to blanket the surface in new rock. NASA's new Orion spacecraft — which is currently orbiting the moon on a crucial, uncrewed mission to test the capsule's spaceflight abilities — recently captured detailed images of the moon's deeply cratered ground. The space agency released these pictures from the Artemis I mission on Nov. 23. NASA snapped the black and white images with the Orion capsule's optical navigation camera, which engineers are testing for future moon flights. "Orion uses the optical navigation camera to capture imagery of the Earth and the Moon at different phases and distances, providing an enhanced body of data to certify its effectiveness under different lighting conditions as a way to help orient the spacecraft on future missions with crew," NASA wrote online. SEE ALSO: Why landing a spaceship on the moon is still so challenging Orion captured some of these images from around 80 miles above the surface. Below are a few of the new pictures of the moon, a barren desert teeming with craters and hills. Crucially, NASA suspects some of the satellite's craters contain bounties of water ice — a necessary resource for future deep space missions. On Friday evening, NASA will fire the spacecraft's engines and send it into an orbit (called "distant retrograde orbit") that will fling it some 50,000 miles beyond the moon. There, it will orbit the moon for over six days. Then Orion will again fire its engines to leave the moon's gravity and travel back to Earth. The uncrewed spacecraft is expected to splash down into the Pacific Ocean, off of San Diego, on Dec. 11. If the mission proves successful, astronauts may fly aboard Orion as early as 2024. And though the timeline is ambitious and will likely be pushed back, astronauts may again step foot on the lunar surface as soon as 2025. This time, they'll be looking to establish a permanent presence on the resource-rich moon. NASA wants to stay. View the full article

Spanning from coastal Woolacombe to West Exmoor, the grassland will be equivalent to 1,786 football pitches. 86 miles of the area have already been sown, with the rest to be completed by 2030. The National Trust has said that it will be planting species native to each area, in order to preserve wildlife populations. In the past century, the UK has lost a staggering 97 percent of its grasslands. View the full article

  24. Save $100: The DJI Mavic Mini Drone Combo is down to $399 on Amazon as part of Black Friday deals. That's a discount of 20%. If you are looking to take your creative game to the next level (or just experience your city from a bird's eye view), then a remote-controlled drone should absolutely be at the top of your purchase list. And great Black Friday deals are happening right now. DJI, which accounts for a significant share in the unmanned aerial vehicles aka drones, is offering its Mavic Mini Combo for $399 on Amazon. While plenty of drone deals are now available as part of Black Friday sales, this DJI product stands above the rest. SEE ALSO: Black Friday's best drone deals include a new record-low price for a 4K DJI bundle One advantage of the Mavic Mini combo over the standard Mavic Mini is the sheer number of backup items in case of damage or loss of any parts. The Mini combo offers 3 spare propellers and batteries each (compared to one of each in the standard deal), an additional micro USB cable, 18 screws (compared to 6 in the standard package), as well an 18W USB fast charger, a two-way charging hub, and a carrying bag — all of which don't come with the standard product. At 250 grams, the Mavic Mini weighs less than the average can of soup, which makes it stay in the air longer compared to similarly-priced models. The drone is powered with a 12MP sensor for capturing sharp photos in mid-air. Apart from the lens, the 2.7K video resolution is also great for creatives, as it allows more editing options before you post your images or videos. Moreover, the 3-axis motorized gimbal is an upgrade over the 2-armed version, as you can shoot dynamic scenes with more ease. A fully charged battery offers 30 minutes of flight time on this drone, although that may slightly vary in case you run into turbulence. An important thing to note is that this drone is no longer in production as per a pop-up on the company's website. So in case you are looking to grab this piece, now will probably be the best time.
