Ever heard/read about this? :read this: BBC NEWS world edition Musicians 'suffer skin disorders' "Guitar nipple" is a form of mastitis from cradling guitars, the study said Musicians risk such afflictions as "guitar nipple" or "fiddler's neck" playing their instruments, a new dermatology study has reported. The report said guitarists could suffer a form of mastitis, a breast inflammation, while holding the instrument against their chests. Violin players also suffered a form of skin complaint in their necks according to the study by a London doctor. The report also suggested musicians got allergies from playing instruments. The report by Dr Thilo Gambichler, of Oldchurch Hospital in east London, was published in the journal BMC Dermatology. Dr Gambichler said he had found allergies to rosin, used to wax bows in string instruments and in reeds of clarinets and saxophones. 'Significant problem' Other players using flutes and brass instruments were found to suffer allergies to nickel, which could cause dermatitis of the lips, it said. "More or less severe skin injuries may occur in musical instrumentalists, in particular acute and chronic wounds including their complications," the report said. "Skin conditions may be a significant problem not only in professional instrumentalists, but also in musicians of all ages and ability. "Although not life threatening, they may lead to impaired performance and occupational hazard." The report said both clinical physicians and musicians themselves need to be award of the possible risks.

The band made its name with music that combines rural, backwoods kitsch with edgey, off-kilter country-rock. First teaming with drummer Jean-Yves Tola and bassist Pascal Humbert, Edwards lost the latter when the band relocated to Denver from California and added Keven Soll to the lineup instead. Their eponymous debut album was released in 1995 on A&M Records and was followed a year later by Sackcloth 'N' Ashes, which featured a cameo from Gordon Gano (Violent Femmes) on fiddle. Humbert returned in 1997, with Soll leaving the band and new guitarist Jeffrey Paul Norlander now included in the lineup. Drafting in PJ Harvey collaborator John Parish to produce the band, Low Estate appeared in early 1998. Secret South followed two years later, but was followed by a well-deserved break from recording. Guitarist Steve Taylor joined before this point when Norlander left the group. The live document Hoarse, released in spring 2001, marked the band's first release for the new millennium. In 2002, the original trio got back together with Taylor and began writing and recording Folklore, which was released that summer through New York indie Jetset. A year later, Jetset issued Olden, which collected 12 previously unreleased demo/alternate versions of classic 16hp material; six live tracks culled from a 1994 date in Denver; and two band interviews

Dutch, did you go to that last PF concert in the Kuip in 1994? I went there twice and ohhhhhhhh man, what a concert. Pulse came one year later, I believe...ans every time I listen to Pulse, the concert comes alive again. Comfortably Numb...what a song!! :good job: :strumma:
