Following the slow and deep brew of the last episode, our 60th mix comes as an ever-cerebral and purely sonic adventure by one of the most celebrated duos in techno today , WOO YORK. The next hour is the recording from when they performed live at NextSound Festival (an all-live acts and advanced music/arts festival) alongside Byetone from Raster-Noton, held at the underground Closer Club in their hometown of Kiev, Ukraine, last month. This live performance SaveFrom.net was one of its kind as it explores live sound arrangement and manipulation (100% improvised), which is the concept and setup they specialize at the moment, aspiring to take it even further. We are truly humbled by the opportunity of hosting these amazing and very talented guys on this special occasion and releasing this extremely organic and experimental live session.

Production-wise, their Grad EP released mid-last year was received exceptionally well, which included superb remixes by Jeroen Search, Deepbass, and Ness (all past guests in this series). For this year, they already have a slew of 12" planned across Soma (first one coming out this month), Audio Assault, and Fullpanda. Aside from keeping themselves busy in the studio, they plan to continue performing their refined live-act while creating new sounds and textures. With this said, we hope you enjoy the following 55 minutes of mind-blowing, abstract, futuristic music as much as we do.

Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
