Usher Sweeps American Music Awards

R&B star Usher was the big winner at the American Music Awards last night (Nov. 14) in Los Angeles, taking four out of five categories in which he was nominated. Other multiple winners included hip-hop duo OutKast with three awards, and singer/songwriter Sheryl Crow and country rocker Toby Keith with two each.

Rapper Kanye West provided the evening's main backstage drama when he told reporters that he was "definitely robbed" of the prize for breakthrough new artist, which went instead to country star Gretchen Wilson. "I was the best new artist this year, so get that other bull out of here," said West.
