2013 American Music Awards - Show

By Sean Lynch

Arriving on horseback, Lady Gaga received plenty of attention on the American Music Awards red carpet, but the flamboyant singer really shook things up when she was asked who she's currently listening to: Chief Keef.

"I've been listening to a lot of Chief Keef," the platinum blonde singer responded. And that wasn’t even the extent of it, she even admitted she was a fan of the Chicago Hip-Hop scene in general.

Chief Keef got wind of his newest co-sign, tweeting that he just so happened to be watching the red carpet interviews himself. “I love Lady Gaga For Sayin She Listens to a lot of me and What's so crazy I was jus Watchin Dis redcarpet sh-- Like damn dis Girl fine,” tweeted the Interscope rapper.

Aside from Sosa’s crush on Gaga, the two may have some business chemistry on the horizon. Both artist are currently signed to Interscope Records, so it isn’t out of the question that the two could be paired in the future.

This has been a bit of an up-and-down month for Gaga as her third studio album, Artpop wasn’t received well commercially or critically. Last night the singer paired up with R.Kelly performed their collaboration “Do You Want” which received some criticism over timing. The scandalous oval office themed performance came just a day after the 50th anniversary of President John F. Kennedy’s assassination.

As for Chief Keef, earlier this month the rapper was ordered to partake in community service at Horsefeathers Therapeutic Riding Equestrian Center in Lake Forest, Illinois. It's currently unknown whether or not he has completed the mandatory 60 hours of community service at the non-profit center.

    • Wait, Burning Man is going online-only? What does that even look like?
You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next. Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
