Kanye West has racked up a long list of things that he hates in his series of rants and now one of those targets is firing back. In addition to his recent rant at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, earlier this week Ye recently chided shoe retailer Zappos for "selling sh-t product" and the company is poking fun at that in a new spoof. "Interested in buying sh-t product? You've come to the right place! Here at Zappos.com, we happily sell sh-t products to everybody!" the retailer says on its "Sh-t Product" page.

Zappos also makes reference to Kanye with, "This is the throne, everyone has been watching. Whether you're #1 or #2, your clique will show no mercy, even in Paris. " In the faux reviews for the toilet and plunger (which happens to cost $100,000), Zappos writes, "Yo Zappos! Imma let you finish . . . but this is the best Sh-t product of all time!" a clear nod to Ye's MTV Video Music Awards blunder in 2009.

The whole Kanye vs. Zappos issue was sparked when the producer/rapper said, "I got into this giant argument with the head of Zappos that he's trying to tell me what I need to focus on," in an interview with Brett Easton Ellis. "Meanwhile, he sells all this sh-t product to everybody, his whole thing is based off of selling sh-t product."

    • Wait, Burning Man is going online-only? What does that even look like?
You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next. Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
