Subculture "From The Garage To The Streets" out on 9th October

by di-ve.com

Thursday, October 07, 2004

Simone Niro (Lyrics/Vocals), Ray Schembri (Guitars/vocals), Jean-Pierre Debattista (Bass/Vocals) and Steve Lombardo (Drums) have produced an album with a blend of alternative punk rock and a strong presence of pro-active lyrics, with the sole aim of throwing light on various issues that are going on around us.

Driven by anger and hope for global justice, the quartet set out on a mission to record this debut 9 track album in a D.I.Y. style with proffesional results.

The album, to be released by Reciprocal Records, has been recorded, mastered and engineered by the band's very own drummer Steve Lombardo at Hell Next Door Studios. "From the Garage to the Streets" is the materialisation of much hard work and dedication to a cause worth shouting about.

The single 'Listen to the Voices' is already downloadable from www.reciprocalrecords.com

Launching night on Saturday 9th October at Signals Bar Tal-Qroqq, supported by Migraine and Deluge of Sorrow.

Entrance: Lm 3.50 (including "From The Garage To The Streets") or Lm 2.50 without the CD.

But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
