After a well earned break since the last sellout event at Great Suffolk Street in April, it’s time for the Shogun Audio collective to return to London but this time in its purest form.

Always ones to keep things fresh the next London party will take place on 28th September in the industrial surroundings of south London’s Sidings warehouse. On show will be a stripped down line-up of core Shogun artists that make the label what it is today.

With each artist given two hour extended sets Shogun at The Sidings will see some of its best players drawing for tracks across the board and give a chance to really show off their skills. Ultimately this new night will give the fans an exclusive insight into the record boxes of the most exciting electronic bass music artists in the UK today.

With Friction, Spectrasoul, Rockwell, Icicle, Technimaticand guest Mefjus all gracing the decks you can be sure no corner will be left unturned and with an array of some of the best MC’s in the land with SP:MC, Linguistics, LX One, AD and Mantmast all in attendance, we’re set for yet another legendary Shogun Audio party.

In 2011 Icicle release his hugely impressive debut album 'Under The Ice' which demonstrated his progression as a producer with tightly structured beats and breezy songs. Icicle is currently working on his second album so we TID caught up with him to see what they could squeeze out of him ahead of the next Shogun Audio warehouse party.

    • Wait, Burning Man is going online-only? What does that even look like?
You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next. Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
