I know you hooked up with Scott
He had something that I ain't got
He held you hostage for 3 hours
The worst I did was send you flowers

I tried to kiss you, you slapped my face
Just because I'm ugly, that's no disgrace
I tried to show love, you put the cops on me
I won't give up, I'll get you by degrees.

Can't ignore me forever
I'll never go away
Like it or not
I'm Here To Stay

Love me or leave me
It's all the same
Like it or not
I'm Here To Stay

I know you hung out with Charles
I tried to do the best I can
It came out Charles worked with strippers
I'm sorry I'm not the Marlboro Man

Even if you leave your husband
You said you won't go with me
If there's one man left on earth
It will be him and not me

Can't ignore me forever
I'll never go away
Like it or not
I'm Here To Stay
Love me or leave me
It's all the same
Like it or not
I'm Here To Stay

You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next. Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
