As the King of Pop’s wrongful death trial trudges on, Flavor Flav pays tribute to the late icon with a new song called “Michael Jackson.” He’s also dropped an accompanying video that features a lookalike for Dr. Conrad Murray, Jackson’s former private physician who is currently serving time for involuntary manslaughter.

The Public Enemy hypeman and reality TV dater revealed himself to be a big fan after Jackson’s passing. “Who are we to question God, why he does what he does?” an emotional Flav told CNN in 2009. “But God needed an extra angel, so he came and got Michael to work for him.”

Flav comes out all guns blazing on the song and video, which opens with a possible sample of Murray in an interview saying, “I don’t feel guilty because I didn’t do anything wrong.”

“He didn’t really have your back,” raps Flav. “All he wanted was your money, everybody knew that. . . a careless doctor, a doctor who could care less when your body is lifeless. No matter how big or small, ended by drowning in Propofol.”

Flavor Flav’s own tumultuous and often violent personal life is about to be put under the microscope. Last arrested in October 2012 for a domestic argument, he and the mother of his youngest child have subsequently signed up to appear on the third season of VH1’s "Couples Therapy." The show premieres on June 12.

    • Wait, Burning Man is going online-only? What does that even look like?
You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next. But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
