Birdman On Rick Ross Lyrics Controversy: 'I Don't See What He Did Wrong'

The bigwigs at Reebok may think Rick Ross was wrong for his lyrics, but his buddy Birdman still has his back. "I don’t see what he did wrong. That’s just life you win and you lose. That’s just what it is, you keep it moving man," the #1 Stunna said on Wednesday (May 8) when he appeared on "RapFix Live."

Last month Reebok severed tied with Ross after his controversial lyric on Rocko’s "U.O.E.N.O." single, sparked outrage and charged that the Maybach Music boss was promoting rape in his music. Lil Wayne found himself in a similar situation after the Pepsi-backed Mountain Dew chose not to work with Weezy again after he compared his sexual prowess to the 1955 slaying of civil rights figure Emmett Till with a lyric on Future’s "Karate Chop" remix.

Birdman didn’t comment on Wayne’s situation, but did encourage his buddy Rozay to keep up his studio grind. "They got more money out there. You keep banging hits, that’s how you got that money, banging hits," he said. "I don’t think he meant no harm to nobody, he just was rapping."
