Kim Kardashian may have secured an invite to the ritzy Met Gala last night (May 6) in NYC, but the reality show star's dress has been a subject of  controversy for the critics. Good thing she has Kanye to defend her though.

Fans took to Twitter to throw shots at the body-hugging Givenchy dress with full sleeves. "Surely the guest list for the Met Gala cannot be that exlcusive if Kim Kardashian is attending. Another Givenchy look ruined" tweeted one. Another added, "Even Givenchy couldn't save the very pregnant Kim kardashian !Wish she had sum1 givin her honest advice -her pregnancy been a fash disaster." The mean comments have followed the usually sexy vixen throughout her pregnancy.

According to Life & Style, the dress caused major issues for Kim's growing pregnant body and she had it altered five times L&S claims, "She's gained a lot of weight in her arms and her stylist has told her she should not show them off," according to an inside. "So her dress now has sleeves when it was sleeveless before." The same person told the magazine, "Kanye is annoyed, as the dress is by his best friend Riccardo Tisci at Givenchy, and he feels embarrassed that Kim is messing with a beautiful piece of art."

Contrary to those reports, Kanye was all smiles at the ball though. MTV News reported that Ye performed a set for the crowd that reportedly featured songs from his new album. The rapper/producer stopped at one point to say, "Don't let nobody bring you down, you're so awesome, you're so awesome!" apparently to his girl Kim, according to a Vine video posted by supermodel Coco Rocha.

    • Wait, Burning Man is going online-only? What does that even look like?
You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
