"Words can't really depict the impression Spacid has left on the crowd", explains Karl from Squadron, delightedly.

"Being responsible for introucing new electro sounds in Malta when he performed last year, Spacid did it again! This time he managed to build his energetic 2:30hr set with different electro styles, ranging from minimal electro, italo disco to booty bass while including some cult tracks and classic scretching which constantly fueled the dancefloor."

As usual 80s classic tracks including Blue Monday, but the one that fascinated me the most was a rave track "Don't miss the party line" by Bizz Nizz which he constantly filled the catchy main riff on a separate track. See, there is a classic and then there are different ones, the ones you long to hear for a long time, not because they aren't any good, but because you don't realize it would sound that good, of course in the perfect place at the perfect time. And this is Spacid's capability to impress. It was a minimal start for the first hour, then the progression and adrenalin sort of expanded immediately.

Actually another success for Squadron. As seen from the dancefloor Spacid's set was impressively well met by the crowd. "Having also heard the comments of the crowd, they were all positive," Karl said. It seems we're heading into another confirmed night this December 4th featuring Dr Lektroluv so watch out this space in the following months for more details.

    • Wait, Burning Man is going online-only? What does that even look like?
You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next. Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
