Dat PMF, A$AP Rocky is hitting the high seas in the May issue of GQ magazine. The Harlem-bred rapper is showing off his style in a full fashion spread where he dons summer-ready, seafaring looks. We must admit, if Rocky wasn’t so nice on the mic, he could make it in the modeling world. In the seven page spread, A$AP shows off his dapper looks, explains his love for fashion, and dishes on what inspires him.

Check out the highlights from his GQ interview along with a hilarious behind-the-scenes video where he reveals his life motto. Hint: It might not come as a surprise.

A$AP Rocky on his style: “I wanted to model when I was younger. I was always into clothes and sh--.”

A$AP on his being featured on menswear blogs: “I’m the man on those things. I don’t really look at them. Well, I guess I do, but only when I’m looking at myself.

A$AP on what inspires him: “I inspire me.”
