Beyonce’s Album Gets Rave Review From Gwyneth Paltrow

Everyone, stop what you’re doing! Famed music critic Gwyneth Paltrow has heard the new Beyonce album and, surprise surprise, she’s a fan of it.

The actress, and one of Bey’s besties, opened up about the Queen’s highly-anticipated forthcoming release, giving it an early rave review. "I've heard a lot, lot, lot of many songs. I don't know which ones have ended up on the album, but I've heard a lot as it's gone on,” she told Digital Spy about the album, which boasts production from the likes of The-Dream, Pharrell and Ne-Yo among others.

And if fans are wondering what the status of the project is, Gwynnie added, "Yes, it's coming. She's almost done but she's got a lot on her plate."

While her album is getting two thumbs up from Paltrow, her cover of Amy Winehouse’s “Back To Black” on the forthcoming “Great Gatsby” soundtrack isn’t getting the same love from Amy’s dad Mitch Winehouse. “I don’t think she brings anything to it,” he told U.K. publication The Daily Mail. “I wasn’t asked for my permission if they could record it.”

The scathing review continued with this admission, “They have got to pay for the privilege, which is what they are doing. I can’t tell you how much it is but it’s a lot of money.” Her version of Amy’s “Back To Black” will appear on the May soundtrack release, meanwhile Beyonce’s solo album will drop sometime later this year. We hope Mitch has some kinder words for the Paltrow-approved album.
