2 Chainz may have titled his Based on a T.R.U. Story opener "Yuck!" but there’s nothing off putting about Tity Boi and Lil Wayne’s new video.

The two first performed the track during the 2012 MTV Video Music Awards last September and on Monday (April 15) they decided to bless fans with the music video. The Alex Nazari-directed clip starts out with a dramatic slow-motion shot of an orchestra and is laced with quick-cuts that illustrate Chainz’s rhymes.

There’s a Def Jam-issued check lit on fire when Deuce spits "Poof, just like that the whole check gone" and then a pair of assault rifles get flashed when he rhymes: "Two gun gang, all black Ferrari." There’s also a flash of a prescription cough syrup bottle to accent Weezy’s "codeine no liquor" line, but for the most part Tunechi performs his hook in front of a wall with the word "yuck" written out several times in a number of different graffiti styles.

When these two get together it’s always a good look.

What do you think of 2 Chainz and Lil Wayne’s "Yuck!" video?

    • Wait, Burning Man is going online-only? What does that even look like?
You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next. Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
