A couple weeks ago Chris Brown declared that Drake would be "stupid" for taking return shots at him in a rap song, so Drake got his words out the old fashioned way--by coming right out and calling Breezy insecure during an interview and admitting outright that he and Rihanna were hooking up for a period of time.

Drake was a guest on Elliott Wilson's "Keep It Thoro" radio web show on Friday, when he was asked about Chris Brown and immediately snapped. "Don't ask me sh-- about that man when I come up there and leave that man alone. Stop preying on his insecurities," Drake responded. "His insecurities are the fact that I make better music than him, that I'm more popping than him and that at one point in life the woman that he loves fell into my lap.

Ouch. So maybe Drake really did write that note to Chris Brown about hooking up with Rih to trigger that bottle brawl last summer. "I did what a real n---a would do and treated her with respect," Drake said of his relationship with Rihanna, before going on to react to the interviews Brown did in promotion of his upcoming X album, where he fielded questions about their beef.

During a visit to Shade 45's "Sway in the Morning," Brown, who took shots at Drake on the remix of Young Jeezy's "R.I.P" was quoted as saying. "You can’t take me serious, I’m not a rapper. Cause, I know aint nothing gonna happen so I say whatever I want. Rebuttals is gonna be stupid, I’m not a rapper. So you’re gonna be stupid rapping back to a singer, but I’ma keep coming ni--a, I don’t care.”

Drake's response: "All them things combined create an individual that comes up to your radio station and is just gonna do dumb sh--. It shouldn't be about tearing that man down. It shouldn't be about wanting to see me and him tear each other down," he said, clearly annoyed. "We have an issue and it's either gonna drag out or maybe in ten years we'll laugh about it over drinks, just let us solve that sh--."

And in terms of a potential rap battle? "I don't wanna hear that man rap, nobody wants to hear me rap against him. I really do this sh--."

    • Wait, Burning Man is going online-only? What does that even look like?
You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next. Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
