Soul Train Awards 2012 - Show

The 2013 MTV Movie Awards are quickly approaching and there are still a few surprises in store. The latest news is that Flavor Flav has been tapped to host NextMovie's red carpet show--yes, he was actually hired to greet the talent as they sashay their way into the venue, so you can bet it'll be eventful.

Flav got his start as part of the legendary hip-hop group Public Enemy, but over the last few years he's made a name for himself as a reality TV star. Still, his hosting gig happens to coincide with the 25th anniversary of Public Enemy's second album It Takes a Nation of Millions to Hold Us Back, so it's gonna be an all out celebration.

"I'm looking forward to rockin' the red carpet the MTV Movie Awards," Flav said of his hosting gig. "I can't wait for the opportunity!"

The 2013 MTV Movie Awards air live Sunday, April 14 at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT and you can watch Flavor Flav's red carpet interviews shortly after showtime on NextMovie.com.

But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
