LL Cool J, Brad Paisley Team Up For 'Accidental Racist'

LL Cool J is bringing rap and country music back together by joining forces with Brad Paisley for their new duet "Accidental Racist." The song finds the two discussing the notion of accidental racism and empathizing with each other's perspective.

Paisley, a country artist, sings "I'm a white man living in the southland...I'm proud of where I'm from but not everything we've done," and "It ain't like you and me can rewrite history...walking over eggshells." LL Cool J raps, "I'd love to buy you a beer, conversate and clear the air/But I see that red flag and I think you wish I wasn't here," along with, "If you don't judge my du-rag/I won't judge your red flag."

The post-racial song will be featured on Brad's upcoming Wheelhouse.

After a lengthy hiatus, including a stint on TV's NCIS, LL is set to release his own Authentic album this year on which Paisley is expected to appear. LL told MTV News earlier about his new album, "Well, I took four years off to do TV and kinda explore other things artistically. I just felt like it was time to come back to my roots. I feel like I don't want to just totally ignore and get away from what got me here. I don't forget where I came from, and I love music. So it's time for me to give those LL Cool J fans who have been patiently waiting for an album to give them a real album, not me tinkering around, not some little underground single that bleeds from nowhere, but a real, proper, true album."
