'Carrie' Footage Debuts Ahead Of New Trailer Tomorrow

Yes, we are still dealing with the crushing blow that we'll have to wait until October to see Kimberly Pierce's adaptation of Stephen King's first book "[url="http://www.mtv.com/movies/movie/499618/moviemain.jhtml"]Carrie[/url]," but that doesn't mean we can't still look forward to seeing Chloe Moretz go crazy while covered in blood, does it?

No, of course we can be pumped about "Carrie," especially when there's a new trailer premiering tomorrow. To get us prepped for the preview, [url="http://www.etonline.com/"][i]Entertainment Tonight[/i][/url] aired a short teaser with brand new footage of the teenage telepath testing out her skills.

Official synopsis:

[indent][i]The movie is a reimagining of the classic horror tale about Carrie White (Moretz), a shy girl outcast by her peers and sheltered by her deeply religious mother (Moore), who unleashes telekinetic terror on her small town after being pushed too far at her senior prom.[/i]

      You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next. Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention. 
      But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
