Odd Future frontman, Tyler, The Creator is finding more ways than just music to show off his creativity. The rapper is not only starring in a new off-the-wall commercial for Mountain Dew, but he is also flexing his directing muscle for the brand.

In the little over 30-second spot, you’ll watch Tyler play “Felicia The Goat," an actual goat voiced by the Odd Futurist. If the concept wasn’t unusual enough, the goat has a Mountain Dew sparked tantrum that’s both bizarre and comical.

Tyler excitedly announced his new project via twitter writing, "MOUNTAIN DEW GAVE ME A CHANCE TO JUST HAVE FUN BEHIND THE CAMERA. THANKS... SHALL BE ON TV IN A COUPLE DAYS!" We imagine that this will be one of many commercials directed by Tyler for the soft drink company. Mountain Dew is known for its racy humor in advertisements. The two working together seem like a perfect match.

Tyler recently directed Earl Sweatshirt’s music video for “Whoa."

But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
