Azealia Banks And Angel Haze Make Peace After Twitter Beef

Another Twitter battle has come to an end. Last December, rappers Azealia Banks and Angel Haze began exchanging words over Twitter after Banks tweeted, “Seriously, if you were not born and raised in NY…. DON’T CLAIM NY. YOU ARE NOT A NEW YORKER.” Since Haze has a song entitled “New York” she assumed that the tweet was aimed at her, and so the feud began.

Although the NY based rappers accused each other of deleting tweets and exchanging harsh words and diss songs, at least some good music came from this feud. Haze released a track first called, “On the Edge.” The tracks cover art was a close up of Banks face along with private text that the two had exchanged. In response Banks released “No Problems” and finally Haze released the last diss track, “Shut the F--- Up.”

Since January it seems like the two have put the feud to rest and instead focused on their music. In an interview at SXSW Haze said, “As far as I’m concerned, it’s totally over. I don’t really care about it and I wish her the utmost success, and it shouldn’t have happened on such a public platform, so that’s all I regret.”

Azealia responded, again using Twitter by saying, “@angelhaze thanks for being nice in ur interview beotch. I know you don’t hate me .”

Since the feud Angel has been busy working on her debut album, Dirty Gold. “I like to record in a form that I have a surplus of stuff to choose from, so once I have all that done, then I’m pretty sure I’ll be good.” So far Angel has recorded 13 tracks for Dirty Gold which will be released this summer.
