Nas’ Tour Profits Are Being Seized For Tax Debts

Nas' tax troubles have been much publicized in the past few years, and now the state of Georgia plans on garnishing wages from his tour with Lauryn Hill to settle what they're owed.

According to TMZ, the  Queensbridge MC owes the Georgia Department of Revenue $1,083,435 dollars for taxes from 2006, 2007, 2009 and 2010 and the GDR has already been garnishing his royalty checks to make up for the $6 million that Nas owes the government in back taxes.

Georgia will get their payment in due time--from the emcees' current “Life is Good/Black Rage” tour with Lauryn Hill.

The GDR has ordered that Live Nation, who are promoting the tour, garnish Nas' wages until all things are paid off. Nas’ reps maintain that the situation has been taken care of but it seems as if Georgia still has not gotten what they are looking for just yet.

Hopefully the tour’s success will keep his debt at bay.
