When it comes to his Kendrick Lamar criticisms Shyne says he was just voicing his opinion, but when it comes to Game, the Gangland MC has a whole other set of beliefs.

“There can’t be nothin’ major between me and Game because Game is a rapper, I’m not a rapper,” Shyne told Power 106’s morning show co-host Rikki Martinez during an interview on Monday (November 19), before questioning his background in the street. “Game’s big brother might be a gang banger, but Game ain’t no game banger, he a rapper.”

The rift between Po and Game began after the Compton, California veteran came to the defense of Kendrick Lamar following Shyne’s assessment that K-Dot’s good kid, m.A.A.d city LP was trash. On November 10 Game released his “Cough Up a Lung” freestyle which he aimed at the former Bad Boy Records spitter. Shyne then fired back with “Psalms 68 (Guns & Moses)” the very next day and the two have been at odds ever since.

During his interview with Power 106 Shyne admitted that maybe he went to far downing Lamar’s critically-acclaimed album. “Kendrick Lamar is dope, nobody can’t take that away from the youngster. He’s a dope MC, dope lyricist and I think one day he may go down as one of the best,” he said. “Maybe the word ‘trash’ was a little bit harsh. But that was just my backlash, my rebellion against an overwhelming amount of hype... It wasn’t trash, but it wasn’t classic.”

When it comes to his stance on Game however, Shyne doesn’t appear to be backing down. “I’m not 40 Glocc, ain’t nobody running up on me and punching me in the face,” he said referencing the fist fight between Hurricane and 4-0. “I’ve already proven it’s life ore death with me.”

    • Wait, Burning Man is going online-only? What does that even look like?
You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next. Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
