Justin Bieber and Nicki Minaj both had big nights at the 2012 American Music Awards, with big wins and equally big performances, but leave it to Psy and his special guest MC Hammer, to really close out the night with a bang.

The Korean pop star, who was teased as a "secret international sensation" all night, donned a special outfit for the night: switching his baby blue suit for a sequined black shirt and hammer pants. Psy got about halfway through his smash hit "Gangnam Style" before the stage went completely dark and the words "Stop, Hammertime" blasted through the speakers. That could only mean one thing.

MC Hammer joined Psy's energetic set, and together they performed a mashup for "Gangnam Style" and "Too Legit to Quit," which drove the crowd wild. Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
