Watch Scarlett Johansson Scream In 'Hitchcock' Trailer

Regardless of how you feel about the new movie "Hitchcock," you have to admit that Anthony Hopkins does a very impressive Alfred Hitchcock impersonation.

His performance is at the center of the great new international trailer for the movie that hit the web today. This spot puts the focus on the making of "Psycho" instead of on Hitchcock's relationship with his wife like the [url="http://moviesblog.mtv.com/2012/10/10/hitchcock-trailer/"]last trailer did[/url]. Both storylines are interesting, but at least in this take we get a better look at the shower scene, replete with Scarlett Johansson's impressive version of Janet Leigh's death scene. That alone had us on board with this film.





It will be interesting to see if "Hitchcock" lives up to its promise, but for now we're sold on the adaptation of the book "Alfred Hitchcock and the Making of Psycho." "Psycho" is a staple in every film studies classroom, and it remains significant because of the way Hitchcock avoided the classic tropes of horror movies and filmmaking as a whole.

Beyond our excitement for these sure-to-be-great performances, we're intrigued by the fact we'll get to see the behind-the-scenes story for how Hitchcock pushed the bounds of cinema to get this movie made. As Mirren's character, Alma Reville, says to Hitchcock at the end of this trailer, "You may not be the easiest man to live with, but you're more entertaining than any of your plots." Well, we'll see.

"Hitchcock" also stars James D'Arcy, Jessica Biel, Toni Collette, Danny Huston and Michael Stuhlbarg. It's due in theaters on Thanksgiving Day, November 23.
