Watch Sway sit down for a live interview with President Obama from the White House.

MTV News will give young voters across the country a chance to make their voices heard today during a 30-minute sit-down with President Obama, "Ask Obama Live: An Interview with the President."

The special airs live at 5 p.m. ET (tape delayed PT) across all of MTV's screens (MTV, MTV2, mtvU, MTV Hits and MTV Jams, as well as online at MTV.com and MTV's mobile platform) and will feature MTV News correspondents Sway Calloway, who will sit down with the president in the White House, and Andrew Jenks, who will be on the ground at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C., with a group of young voters. Before and after the interview, Jenks will host a live-stream discussion about the election through MTV.com.

The special marks the first time either Obama or Governor Romney have focused specifically on the issues most important to young voters. In our travels, those issues cover a wide range of topics, from health care, immigration reform, gun control, clean energy, reproductive rights and LGBTQ rights. Understandably, one of the things most young voters seem concerned about is the skyrocketing costs of college ... and how they'll manage to deal with crippling student loans if they're unable to find a job once they graduate.

There are just 10 days left before the election, and the 45 million 18- to 29-year-olds eligible to vote in this election are the largest potential voting bloc in the country. They're looking for answers and hoping that President Obama has some for them. Tune in tonight to find out, on "Ask Obama: An MTV Interview with the President."

Don't miss "Ask Obama Live: An MTV Interview With the President" airs live today at 5 p.m. ET (tape delayed PT) across MTV's screens, including MTV, MTV2, mtvU, MTV Hits and MTV Jams, as well as online at MTV.com and MTV's mobile platforms.

(MTV has also invited Obama's opponent, Mitt Romney, to participate in a similar live special, and hopes to conduct an interview with him in advance of Election Day on November 6.)

We've talked to students at Georgetown University, taken your questions from our Facebook page and combined them the concerns young voters have been sharing with us all year as part of our Power of 12 campaign coverage.

    • Wait, Burning Man is going online-only? What does that even look like?
You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next. Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
