The Rej3ctz Want You To 'Turn Up And Vote'

MoWii, Pee W33 and Bounc3 of the Los Angeles-based group The Rej3ctz hit the "RapFix Live" couch Wednesday (October 17) to talk about the success of their widely popular single, "Cat Daddy," which has spawned the latest dance craze. Before demonstrating their dance moves live on set, the colorful rap trio talked about the stigma and backlash rappers get from the industry as a whole for releasing “dance” rap songs, and then chatted about their new single "Solid" and the importance of voting.

“We do it because we love to dance,” Pee W33 told Sway on "RapFix Live." “We love to dance. We rap and we dance. We’re artists, we do everything. So if you don’t like it, oh well. Bite me. We are who we are.”

After telling Sway to swing, run, run, run, the collective spoke on their latest single, “Solid,” featuring West Coast legend Kurupt, and its message about the importance of voting. “Turn Up the vote,” Pee W33 told viewers. "Y’all turn up in the clubs, y’all turn up on the corners, y’all turn up in the parking lots, turn up the vote. If you are not old enough to vote, tell your Dad, Mom, auntie, anybody to vote.”

The California-based rappers explained that they want to use their status and voice as artists to push the very important message of getting out the vote. “We’re not telling fans who to vote for, but to be aware of what’s going on in the world.”
