Flavor Flav has found himself in some legal trouble following an incident in his Las Vegas home, where he reportedly threatened another person while wielding a knife.

The "911 is a Joke" rapper was arrested around 3 a.m. after getting into an argument with an unidentified teenager and his fiancée. According to TMZ, at some point during the argument, Flav, who was born William Drayton Jr., threatened one person with a knife and battered the other. It is unclear if the teenager is one of Flav's many children or who he actually threatened and hit, but he is now facing felony assault with a deadly weapon and misdemeanor domestic violence charges. Flavor was bailed out with $23,000 later in the morning.

It hasn't been all bad news for Flavor though. Earlier this month, it was announced that Flav's group Public Enemy were nominated alongside N.W.A and Donna Summer as nominees for the 2013 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame class. Flav, along with the group's lead MC Chuck D, changed the course of hip-hop in the 1980s and early 1990s with politically charged LP's like It Takes a Nation of Millions to Hold Us Back and Fear of a Black Planet. For the first time ever, fans will be able to vote on the nominees and if PE is inducted, they will join Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five, Run-DMC and the Beastie Boys as the only hip-hop acts in the HoF.

    • Wait, Burning Man is going online-only? What does that even look like?
You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next. Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
