Students Reenact Chris Brown And Rihanna Assault In Blackface

Students at Waverly High School in New York are coming under fire for reenacting the assault of Rihanna at Chris Brown's hands during their homecoming pep rally. The shocking show was part of the "Mr. Waverly" contest at the school and featured three students in blackface parodying the physical altercation.

"I can testify there's not a lot of racial diversity in that school whatsoever," a graduate of the high school told a local paper on Monday via Jezebel."I felt like something should have been done about this.".

The school's Superintendent is now weighing in on the so-called parody: "The Waverly School District is committed to creating a positive atmosphere through our activities. I will be working with our building administrators, our staff and our students to examine our current activities and develop future activities consistent with our commitment."

In 2009, Brown was charged with assaulting his then-girlfriend Rihanna. The case file said at the time that the crime occurred when Brown and Rihanna got into a heated argument after leaving the annual Clive Davis Pre-Grammy Gala on February 7. Rihanna and Brown were driving in his rented Lamborghini when Rihanna read him a three-page text message from an unidentified woman. An argument reportedly ensued. The police report alleged that Brown tried to force Rihanna before the attack.
