Gunplay was prepared to turn himself in to authorities on Thursday, but facing jail is never an easy thing and it shows. MTV has obtained exclusive footage of the Maybach Music Group rapper turning himself to Miami police and while the “Rollin’” rapper stood strong he was visible shaken in the clip.

Gun, dressed in a white dress shirt and black dress pants, with a red and green Gucci belt, exits a white SUV with his lawyer and a few loved ones on his way toward a Miami police precinct.

The Miami-Dade Police Department confirmed to MTV News that on Thursday, the Rick Ross protégé turned himself in and now faces armed robbery, assault with a deadly weapon and aggravated assault charges and is currently being held with no bond. The incident most likely happened in May, when the warrant was originally issued for Gunplay's arrest, but it is unclear at the time.

In the exclusive video obtained by MTV News, the rapper and his lawyer decline to give a comment to a waiting reporter, but in an interview with Hip-Hop Wired, the rapper's lawyer Mike Greico said he expects his client to have his name cleared. "My gut tells me he's going to be exonerated on this. It's going to take some time though," he said. "He wants to get out there and get back in the game."

In the clip, Gun hands his phone off to a woman, removes his belt and multiple necklaces to a woman he later kisses goodbye. The rapper wasn't cuffed, but was escorted to a vehicle by two officers and placed in the back seat before the video cuts off.

    • Wait, Burning Man is going online-only? What does that even look like?
You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next. Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
