As if MMG hasn't already had enough buzz around this year's BET Hip Hop Awards, now Omarion's Micheal Jackson-esque dance performance is the center of ridicule. Instead of winning naysayers over as he had hoped, the R&B singer was actually the source of quite a few laughs for viewers. (Check out the above gif via HipHopWired).

Briefly joining Rick Ross onstage for a rendition of their Self Made 2 cuts, Omarion wanted to make sure he got his shine. However his decision to bust out a quick dance routine during his limited performance may not have been such a good idea.

Leaving fans unsure of what he was actually trying to convey, the new addition to MMG caused an uproar on social networks and not on a positive note. "who saw Omarion bang like 30 dance moves in the space of like 5seconds on bet awards LOOOL", tweeted @Jamal_Jpro, a viewer of the awards show. And he was not alone, "Omarion dancing like he caught the Holy Spirit at the BET Awards lol", wrote @Lewiboro who was also watching.

This incident is not the first loss the crew has suffered at the awards show either. In addition to Rick Ross' scuffle with Young Jeezy before his performance, Gunplay was also involved in an altercation with 50 Cent's G-Unit crew.

    • Wait, Burning Man is going online-only? What does that even look like?
You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next. Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
