Machine Gun Kelly 'Didn't Trash Computers' At Source's Power 30 Party

Machine Gun Kelly was in Atlanta last weekend for the taping of the BET Hip-Hop Awards, and on Friday night (September 28), before the awards show, he performed at The Source's Power 30 shindig, which was held at the Microsoft Store in Lenox Square mall. MGK's in-store performance got a little rowdy, catching partygoers and Microsoft staff off guard, but during a visit to "RapFix Live," the Cleveland rapper said he didn't cause any permanent damage.

"I didn't trash any computers," MGK said, explaining that he climbed onto the tables to perform, but didn't destroy any property. "I basically walked in there, wanted everyone that was in thee to see my performance and basically just lived the image people see me as, and that's a real image. And i think that people just got shocked and scared, but I wasn't going around disrepspecting people's computers."

Plus, if he did trash the computers, who would that benefit? "That'd be foul, how could I charge up my phone to watch porn?" he noted, going on to add, "I've heard so many funny stories about me, man." He confirmed that he doesn't owe Microsoft any damages from the performance, and the company issued this statement today:

“On Sept. 28, The Source held a private event at the Microsoft Lenox Square Store. We offer our stores as a venue for the community to use, and this event was not sponsored by Microsoft. While the artist’s behavior was appropriate for a concert, some of it was not appropriate in a store environment."
