Nicki Minaj, Jay-Z, Kanye West and Maroon 5 were on hand last year to provide Victoria's Secret models with music to strut down the runway, and this year Justin Bieber, Rihanna and Bruno Mars are taking over for the annual fashion show.

Victoria's Secret announced the trio of performers on their Facebook page on Tuesday (October 2). The show is scheduled to air on Tuesday, December 4 at 10 p.m. ET on CBS. It will tape in New York City. It marks the first time any of the performers have played the show. Last year, it included eye-popping appearances from Nicki Minaj, Maroon 5 and Watch the Throne partners-in-crime, Jay-Z and Kanye West.

The 2012 performance comes at a very busy time for all three artists set to rock the runway. Rihanna has just released her latest single, "Diamonds," and it is rumored that her next album, allegedly called 7 Wonders, may get a November release date.

Bieber will be in New York City around that time to play the Big Apple on his Believe tour. He kicked the jaunt off this past weekend and made headlines for getting sick on stage. Additionally, he also has the music video for "Beauty and The Beat" (which he filmed with Minaj last month) in the can.

Meanwhile, Bruno just released his single, "Locked Out of Heaven." The song serves as the lead track off his December 11 album release, Unorthodox Jukebox. He will perform the song live for the first time when he pulls double duty on "Saturday Night Live" on October 20, where he will serve as the night's musical guest and host.

    • Wait, Burning Man is going online-only? What does that even look like?
You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next. Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
