Story: Marvel Studios delivers the ultimate comic-book film, which ties together such characters as Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.), Captain America (Chris Evans), The Hulk (Mark Ruffalo), and Thor (Chris Hemsworth) for a big-screen franchise team-up like no other.

On the Disc:
All of the "Avengers" Blu-rays come packed with special features, and though there several different versions of the disc, the extras remain the same for the large part. The only differences between the versions are packaging and the inclusion of a 3-D version. Among the many special features, which include deleted scenes, gag reels and behind-the-scenes featurettes, it might be the least flashy bonus that gives you a great reason to own this disc. Joss Whedon recorded an eloquent, insightful, and hilarious commentary track that makes the movie worth rewatching for the umpteenth time.

Story:
The name's Bond. James Bond.

On the Disc:
Undoubtedly, one of the most highly anticipated Blu-ray sets of the year, "Bond 50" brings all 22 EON Bond films (so no 1967 "Casino Royale" or "Never Say Never Again") together in high definition for the first time. There are more than 130 hours of bonus content in the entire collection, which includes an extra disc with one hour of content alone.

Stand-out feature: an extra slot at the back of the case for "Skyfall." Now that's some attention to detail.

    • Wait, Burning Man is going online-only? What does that even look like?
You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next.
